Insilico Medicine and China Medical System Expand AI Collaboration in CNS Drug Discovery
Insilico Medicine and China Medical System Holdings announced an additional collaboration in drug discovery for central nervous system diseases in a press release. The partnership builds on an earlier agreement signed earlier this year and focuses on developing a therapy that targets a new mechanism of action identified by Insilico’s PandaOmics platform.
Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly advance research and development by combining Insilico’s generative AI platform with CMS’s clinical and commercialization capabilities. Insilico will be eligible for milestone payments of up to about 1.2 billion RMB, along with royalties on future sales.
The partnership will integrate Insilico’s AI-enabled drug discovery and development expertise with CMS’s experience in clinical research, regulatory processes, and market access. The collaboration aims to accelerate the transition of promising compounds from early discovery to clinical application.
