Infosys and Telstra have announced a joint venture aimed at accelerating AI-powered cloud and digital transformation for Australian enterprises. Announced in a press release, Infosys will acquire a 75% shareholding in Versent Group, a subsidiary of Telstra known for its digital transformation solutions.

Infosys will have operational control of Versent Group, while Telstra retains a 25% minority stake. This collaboration is set to leverage Infosys' advanced AI capabilities and cloud offerings, including Infosys Topaz and Infosys Cobalt, to deliver enhanced digital solutions across various sectors in Australia.

The joint venture aims to combine Telstra's connectivity, Versent's local digital engineering expertise, and Infosys' global scale to provide comprehensive digital transformation services. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of FY 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
