IMO Health Opens Direct Access to Clinical Knowledge Graph for AI Developers

April 28, 2026
IMO Health has announced that developers can now directly access its Clinical Knowledge Graph through GraphQL and MCP interfaces. The system provides a continuously updated clinical context used by most U.S. clinicians, designed to improve the accuracy and explainability of healthcare AI applications.

IMO Health announced in a press release that it has opened direct access to its Clinical Knowledge Graph, allowing AI developers and healthcare organizations to integrate clinically validated data into their systems. The graph is accessible through GraphQL queries and MCP-based tools, enabling applications and AI agents to interact with the same clinical context used by 90 percent of U.S. clinicians.

The Knowledge Graph serves as a semantic layer that connects clinical terminology, documentation, and analytics across healthcare workflows. Built from the terminology and documentation patterns present in 97 percent of patient encounters, it supports consistent meaning and traceable reasoning across systems. The graph currently underpins 12 billion terminology transactions annually across more than 4,500 provider organizations and major electronic health record platforms.

By offering direct access, IMO Health aims to simplify the integration of clinical context into AI systems without requiring developers to build their own knowledge infrastructure. The current release supports key functions such as hierarchy traversal, controlled metadata access, and clinical modifiers, with further domain expansions planned.
