Illumine and Montessori Foundation Expand School Technology Collaboration
Illumine and The Montessori Foundation are expanding their collaboration on software for Montessori school operations, the companies said in a press release. More than 100 Montessori schools adopted Illumine during the past six months, including schools in California, New York, Texas and Florida.
The platform combines admissions, enrollment, billing, attendance, parent communication, student observations, lesson planning and school records. The Montessori Foundation is contributing guidance on curriculum planning, classroom observation, teacher support, family communication and narrative student reports.
Illumine also uses AI to organize dictated observations, turn notes into draft reports, translate information for families and prepare operational reports. Educators and administrators remain responsible for reviewing, correcting and approving the resulting content.
The organizations have also held webinars, workshops and discussions covering enrollment, parent engagement, school operations, technology and AI. These programs have reached more than 1,000 Montessori school leaders.
