IDEMIA WebCapture Blocks All 900 Biometric Fraud Test Attacks

BixeLab found that no attacks bypassed IDEMIA Public Security's WebCapture SDK across 900 attempts involving deepfakes, face swaps and other biometric fraud methods.

IDEMIA Public Security says in a press release that its WebCapture SDK blocked all 900 biometric injection attacks in an independent assessment by BixeLab. The tests covered 10 attack instrument types and included deepfakes, face swaps, replay attacks, morphing and avatar reenactment.

BixeLab found that WebCapture SDK v3.38 met the requirements of the CEN/TS 18099:2024 aligned Level 2 (Substantial) assessment within the tested scope. None of the attacks bypassed the identity verification system.

The assessment also included 300 transactions from legitimate users. Two were classified incorrectly, producing a bona fide presentation classification error rate of 0.67%.
