Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max runs 30 billion parameter AI model on device
Huawei announced in a press release the Mate 90 smartphone series with HarmonyOS 7 and new Kirin processors. The Mate 90 Pro Max and higher models run a 30 billion parameter mixture of experts foundation model on the device.
The model supports Celia Memories, which organizes content from more than 50 apps, and a navigation bar that suggests more than 30 actions based on screen content. Celia Call 2.0 provides automated call answering, summaries and live translation, while the Gallery Assistant supports photo editing and video generation through voice or text commands.
The standard Mate 90 uses the Kirin 9030, while the Pro uses the Kirin 9035. Premium Pro Max and RS ULTIMATE DESIGN models use the Kirin 9050 Pro. Prices start at CNY 5,999 for the Mate 90, CNY 6,999 for the Pro, CNY 9,499 for the Pro Max and CNY 12,999 for the RS ULTIMATE DESIGN.
