Hammerspace has appointed Gregg Machon and Jeff Echols to its leadership team, enhancing its focus on AI and hybrid cloud storage solutions.

Hammerspace has announced the addition of two seasoned executives to its leadership team, as stated in a press release. Gregg Machon joins as the Global Vice President of Channel Sales, while Jeff Echols takes on the role of Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Machon, who previously led global channel sales at VAST Data, brings extensive experience from companies like Qumulo, HPE, and NetApp. Echols, formerly with WEKA, has a background in building strategic partner programs at Nutanix and Dell Technologies. Their appointments highlight Hammerspace's growing influence in AI and hybrid cloud storage solutions.

The company is rapidly expanding, with new sales team members across North America and EMEA, and plans to open an office in the Asia-Pacific region. Hammerspace's technology aims to enhance data delivery to GPUs, addressing storage bottlenecks in AI architectures. This strategic move is part of Hammerspace's efforts to redefine data infrastructure for AI and hybrid cloud environments.
