GrubMarket Acquires JR Holland in UK Expansion
GrubMarket has acquired JR Holland, a fresh produce and foodservice distributor based in Gateshead, England, announced in a press release.
JR Holland was founded in 1983 and supplies fresh produce, dairy, meat, bakery, and pantry items to customers in hospitality, education, healthcare, and the public sector. The company operates two locations in the Newcastle area with 65,000 square feet of space, employs more than 120 people, and completes more than 3,000 deliveries each week.
After the acquisition, JR Holland will keep its brand and continue to be run by its existing leadership team. GrubMarket said JR Holland will gain access to its software tools, including WholesaleWare, GrubAssist AI, Orders IO, and GrubPay.
