Groq Expands AI Data Center Network to Helsinki

Groq has announced the launch of its first European data center in Helsinki, Finland, in collaboration with Equinix, announced in a press release. This expansion aims to meet the growing demand for AI inference capabilities across Europe by providing lower latency and faster response times.

The new data center in Helsinki is part of Groq's strategy to bring AI inference capacity closer to European users, ensuring strong data governance and efficient AI processing. The collaboration with Equinix leverages their global infrastructure and connectivity solutions, allowing customers to deploy inference workloads to GroqCloud efficiently.

This move builds on Groq's existing data center network, which includes facilities in the U.S., Canada, and Saudi Arabia, serving over 20 million tokens per second globally. The Helsinki data center will enable European enterprises to access GroqCloud over private connections, enhancing data sovereignty and privacy controls.
