OpenAI co-founder and president Greg Brockman will now lead the company’s product strategy, according to Wired. The move formalizes a temporary arrangement that began when CEO of AGI deployment Fidji Simo took medical leave.

The company told staff that it is reorganizing to unify its product offerings. Brockman will oversee the integration of ChatGPT and Codex into a single consolidated experience. OpenAI confirmed that Simo collaborated with Brockman on these structural changes.

Brockman’s new role also includes responsibility for AI infrastructure. The reorganization follows earlier internal efforts to refocus on the core ChatGPT platform after the company paused several experimental projects.
