Google.org Funds AI and Career Training for Justice-Impacted Oklahomans

The Center for Employment Opportunities has received funding from Google.org to expand AI and advanced career training for justice-impacted individuals in Oklahoma.

The Center for Employment Opportunities announced new funding from Google.org, according to a press release, to expand digital fluency and advanced career training for justice-impacted individuals across Oklahoma.

The initiative aims to help hundreds of Oklahomans returning from incarceration gain high-demand skills and access employment opportunities in technology and AI-related fields. The program includes tuition coverage for training programs, supplemental income during courses, and an AI curriculum for both participants and staff.

In addition, the partnership will organize career fairs across the state to connect returning citizens with employers offering upwardly mobile career paths. The Center for Employment Opportunities operates in more than 30 cities across 12 states, providing job placement and training services for people reentering the workforce after incarceration.
