Google Adds Flight Tracking and Hotel Booking to AI Mode

Google has added new travel planning and booking features to AI Mode, its conversational search experience. Users can now ask AI Mode to track flight prices, help book hotels, and show flight and hotel costs in points or miles.

For flights, users can describe where and when they want to travel. AI Mode can show options with current prices from more than 300 airlines and travel sites. Users can also ask AI Mode to track prices for a destination and travel dates, then receive an email when prices change. Flight price tracking in AI Mode is now available in more than 180 countries.

For hotels, users can describe a trip and hotel preferences to get options with reviews and key details. After choosing a hotel, users can select “Continue on Google” through integrated partners, choose a room, review details such as cancellation policy, and complete payment with Google Pay. The hotel or booking platform handles the booking and customer service.

Hotel booking in AI Mode has started rolling out in the U.S. in English and will be available over the coming weeks with partners including Booking.com, Choice Hotels International, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Points and miles pricing for matching flights and hotels is now available globally.
