GoodLeap has announced the nationwide expansion of its AI-powered Virtual Power Plant program, aiming to deploy 1.5 GW in batteries over the next five years.

GoodLeap has announced the nationwide expansion of its AI-powered Virtual Power Plant (VPP) program, targeting the deployment of 1.5 GW in batteries over the next five years, announced in a press release. The expansion includes a new integrated retail offering in Texas, powered by Light, which has already doubled battery attachment rates in the state.

The GoodGrid™ program, central to this initiative, offers cash rewards to homeowners, making home batteries more affordable. These rewards are part of GoodLeap's strategy to enhance grid reliability and lower energy costs by using AI-powered energy management software. This software forecasts demand and orchestrates distributed home batteries, transforming them into a powerful, aggregated energy resource.

GoodLeap's expansion builds on its previous successes in Connecticut and California, showcasing its commitment to scaling VPP solutions across the nation. The program aims to provide affordable energy solutions while supporting grid stability during peak demand events.
