Geotab Launches MCP Connector for AI Fleet Integration

Geotab has introduced the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Connector, allowing organizations to securely connect live fleet data to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot. The solution enables real-time access to MyGeotab data and supports automated workflows within existing AI environments.

Geotab announced in a press release the launch of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Connector, a tool that enables organizations to securely access live MyGeotab data within AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot. The connector allows users to automate workflows and perform actions directly from their chosen AI environment.

The MCP Connector lets users query fleet data in plain language, schedule maintenance, generate reports, and create alerts without leaving their AI tools. It supports integration through approved AI environments, maintaining existing security, privacy, and governance policies.

Geotab processes about 37 trillion data points each year from over 6 million connected vehicles across 160 countries. The company stated that its scale and data quality provide a strong foundation for accurate AI insights across fleet operations.

Built on an open standard, the Geotab MCP Connector allows customers to integrate their fleet intelligence with any compatible AI platform rather than being limited to a single ecosystem. This flexibility is designed to help organizations act on operational data efficiently through the AI systems they already use.
