Gemtek and Dixon Expand Optical Connectivity Manufacturing in India
Gemtek Technology Company Ltd and Dixon Technologies are expanding their joint venture in India to make optical transceivers, BOSA modules, and other fast optical connectivity products, the companies said in a press release.
The partnership combines Gemtek's optical communications, photonic integration, and product development work with Dixon's manufacturing scale, supply chain operations, and market presence in India. The companies said the venture will serve broadband, telecom, cloud, data center, and AI infrastructure markets in India and abroad.
Gemtek said its optical connectivity portfolio spans from 1G to 1.6T and includes optical transceivers, SFP modules, BOSA, and related products. Its roadmap includes 800G and 1.6T photonic integration technologies for cloud and data center infrastructure.
Gemtek will show the portfolio at India Mobile Congress 2026, scheduled for October 7 to 10 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. The company said it will exhibit in Hall 2, Booth B1.
