Fujitsu has announced the development of a secure and efficient AI agent platform designed to enhance operational efficiency and ensure stable medical service provision in Japan's healthcare sector, announced in a press release. The platform features an orchestrator AI agent, a centralized system that facilitates collaboration among multiple specialized healthcare-specific agents developed by Fujitsu and its partners.

The initiative, supported by NVIDIA, aims to implement world-leading medical operational practices, driving business transformation and improving sustainability within the industry. Fujitsu plans to accelerate the platform's commercialization in 2025 by collaborating with advanced medical institutions globally to verify the effectiveness of the healthcare orchestrator AI agent and develop industry-specific AI agents.

Fujitsu's AI agent platform will offer a suite of task-specific AI agents for medical workflows, leveraging its extensive operational knowledge in healthcare. The platform can integrate a wide range of AI agents, including those for data structuring and interoperability monitoring, supporting the rapid transformation of operational processes. The orchestrator AI agent centrally controls and automates medical workflows, both within and outside institutions, autonomously combining various specialized medical applications.
