The Fletcher Group found that most women fintech chief marketing officers expect to expand their teams in 2027, according to CFOtech. Its 2026 Women CMOs in Fintech Report says 56% plan to add staff, while 6% expect reductions. It also found that 75% expect larger budgets and none plan budget cuts.

All respondents use AI for research and data analysis, while 88% have structured AI workflows. The report says 69% already invest in answer engine optimization and generative engine optimization. Every respondent plans to increase that investment in 2027.

The report found that 88% of respondents had taken on a broader role during the past year. Another 75% report directly to the chief executive, while 63% influence sales, revenue or growth. Despite wider AI use, 94% retain human control over at least one sensitive function, including regulated communications, crisis response, brand voice or positioning.

The coverage does not state how many CMOs were surveyed or how the survey was run, and the figures reflect respondents' plans and expectations.
