fileAI Gets Investment From SMBC Asia Rising Fund and Singtel Innov8
fileAI has announced an investment from SMBC Asia Rising Fund and Singtel Innov8, stated in a press release. The funding will support fileAI's expansion in Japan and further work on financial services features for its enterprise AI platform.
The announcement also includes the launch of fileScout, a tool for mapping unstructured enterprise data. fileAI said fileScout is designed to reduce token costs when processing unstructured data and works with data capture, validation, matching and reconciliation functions.
fileAI said the investment follows its June 2026 partnership with JRE Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm supporting JR East Group. The company plans to build a Japan team across sales, engineering and customer success.
For banking and financial services customers, fileAI lists use cases including statement extraction, covenant extraction, KYC and onboarding checks, reconciliation and regulatory reporting.
