May 12, 2026
FCM Travel has launched its rebuilt AI ecosystem, Sam, for customers in nearly 100 countries. The proprietary system integrates AI across all travel management functions with enterprise-grade data controls and configurable compliance features.

FCM Travel has activated its reimagined AI ecosystem, Sam, for customers in nearly 100 countries in June announced in a press release. The system serves as the intelligence layer across all of FCM's technology, connecting travel management functions and customer interactions.

Sam supports travelers, arrangers, and travel managers through conversational AI that enforces company policies and approval workflows. Its proprietary architecture defines which data sources are used for each query to ensure accuracy and prevent hallucination. Customer data remains within FCM's private environment and is not used to train public models.

The platform includes a configurable guardrail system that lets travel managers control how Sam responds to specific types of queries. It automatically enforces spend limits, supplier preferences, and policy rules during conversations. Sam also provides real time program data for managers and enables seamless handoffs to FCM consultants with full context.

According to FCM, the new version delivers continuous support throughout the travel journey and integrates with customers’ existing booking tools. Each system update is designed to make travel programs more adaptive through the proprietary AI architecture.
