Eufaula Water Works Expands AI Partnership with OpenGov to Modernize Utility Operations
The Eufaula Water Works & Sewer Board is advancing its digital transformation through an expanded partnership with OpenGov, integrating AI-driven workflows to improve municipal operations and customer service, announced in a press release.
The Alabama-based utility, which serves nearly 15,000 residents with a staff of 28, has adopted OpenGov’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools for financial management, procurement, contract management, and asset management. Alongside these implementations, it completed a city-wide advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) changeout project.
Next year, the utility plans to launch a Constituent Relationship Management application through OpenGov’s Public Service Platform to unify service delivery and communication. The initiative aims to streamline daily operations and provide residents with improved digital service options, including online payments and centralized communication.
Eufaula Water Works’ modernization efforts reflect a broader trend among smaller municipalities adopting AI-enabled systems to enhance efficiency and resilience in public service management.
