Empyrean Launches Halo AI Layer for Benefits Administration

August 27, 2026
Empyrean has introduced Empyrean Halo, an AI layer for benefits administration that connects benefits data, employee interactions, service workflows, and administrative processes.

Empyrean announced in a press release Empyrean Halo, an AI layer embedded across its benefits administration experience. The system connects benefits data, digital interactions, service workflows, and operational processes for employee guidance, service delivery, and administration.

Empyrean said Halo powers a digital assistant that lets employees ask benefits questions in natural language and receive guidance based on their employer's benefits information. The company said the assistant answers an employee question in the first response at least 92% of the time, with 98% of sessions resolved digitally. It supports more than 100 languages, and Spanish language interactions make up about 10% of sessions.

When live support is needed, Halo transfers relevant context to a representative so the employee does not need to repeat the issue. Empyrean said the system supports representatives with context, automated call documentation, sentiment insights, and quality signals. The company cited 93% first call resolution, a 30% decrease in repeat callers, 25% fewer service escalations, and a 95% average interaction quality score within its service model.

For administration, Empyrean said Halo will help teams interpret plan documents and prior recordkeeper materials, generate and update requirements, identify discrepancies earlier, and focus testing on complex rules and client specific exceptions. The company expects these capabilities to reduce client effort by up to 25% and shorten implementation timelines by at least 15%.
