Ellucian will include AI capabilities in Ellucian Student subscriptions without separate token purchases, credits or metered billing, the company said in a press release. The pricing applies to AI used for tasks including registration, advising and financial aid.

Ellucian Student includes predictive insights, assistants, automation and agent workflows. The software uses the Ellucian Higher Ed Knowledge Graph, which catalogs about 10,000 processes from colleges and universities.

Ellucian said customers will receive continuing AI updates within the core subscription rather than purchasing and integrating separate AI tools.
