
Ellipsis Health Unveils AI Care Manager Sage with $45M Funding
Ellipsis Health has announced the launch of Sage, an emotionally intelligent AI Care Manager, supported by a $45 million Series A funding round led by Salesforce, Khosla Ventures, and CVS Health Ventures. In a press release, the company detailed that Sage is designed to assist patients with complex needs by expanding staffing capacity and reducing operational costs through proactive patient engagement.
Sage leverages Ellipsis Health's proprietary Empathy Engine, which is built on patented vocal biomarker technology and trained on millions of clinical patient calls. This AI tool aims to redefine care management by integrating with Salesforce Health Cloud to provide emotionally intelligent, context-aware support for patients, even those with the most complex needs.
The funding will be used to accelerate the adoption of Sage across healthcare providers, payers, and care management organizations. Ellipsis Health plans to expand its AI capabilities and enhance clinical integrations to deliver empathetic, AI-driven healthcare at scale.
