Efekta Education Group said in a press release that 73% of surveyed US teachers use AI tools in teaching or professional practice, including 29% who use them regularly. Only 50% have received formal AI training, while 70% have received guidance, encouragement, or approval from their schools.
The survey found that 40% of US teachers believe their school has successfully integrated AI tools. Another 49% said government guidance remains unclear, and 93% know or suspect that students use AI for lessons or homework.
Among teachers who use AI in the US and UK, 72% use ChatGPT, 48% use Gemini, and 35% use Microsoft Copilot. Education or teaching specific AI tools were used by 19%. Efekta identified clearer government guidance, practical school policies, teacher training, tool evaluation, and teacher participation in selecting and testing systems as priorities.
3Gem Research & Insights surveyed 850 teachers, including 500 in the US and 350 in the UK, from June 24 to July 2, 2026. The published national findings cover US respondents.
