
Digital Global Systems Expands AI Patent Portfolio in RF Spectrum Management
Digital Global Systems has announced a major milestone in expanding its patent portfolio related to AI in RF spectrum management, announced in a press release. The company now holds the largest number of U.S. patents in this field, with priority dates before 2014, solidifying its position as a global leader in AI-enabled wireless communications.
The portfolio, which includes 361 issued and allowed patents and 124 pending, covers a wide range of technologies essential for next-generation wireless systems. These include RF spectrum measurement, signal geolocation, spectrum allocation, and dynamic spectrum sharing. Recent patent grants have further strengthened DGS's leadership in sensor data fusion and intelligent communications, impacting critical domains such as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications.
DGS's innovations are particularly significant for 5G and 6G networks, where ultra-reliable, low-latency communications are crucial for applications like autonomous vehicles and smart infrastructure. The company's technology enables real-time RF infrastructure intelligence, ensuring reliability and performance in high-stakes environments. The patent portfolio has been independently valued at approximately $2 billion, reflecting its strategic importance across various sectors, including national infrastructure and commercial markets.
