Descartes Systems Group has acquired Tai Software, an AI powered transportation management platform for freight brokers, announced in a press release.

Tai was a portfolio company of Accel-KKR. Brown Gibbons Lang & Company served as the exclusive financial adviser to Tai Software in the transaction.

Tai's platform supports the shipment lifecycle across truckload, LTL, drayage, and freight across borders. Its tools cover quoting, carrier sourcing, load execution, tracking, billing, and customer engagement.

The platform also includes AI agents that extract quote requests from inbound emails, run automated check calls, and audit carrier invoices against rate confirmations before payment. Descartes said the acquisition expands its transportation management capabilities for freight brokers and adds transaction, carrier, and shipment execution data to the Descartes Global Logistics Network.
