Deerfield Management Appoints Mark Michalski as CIO

Deerfield Management has appointed Mark Michalski, M.D., as Chief Information Officer to lead its AI and software initiatives in healthcare.

Deerfield Management has appointed Mark Michalski, M.D., as Chief Information Officer, announced in a press release. Dr. Michalski, a pioneer in AI for healthcare, will spearhead Deerfield's efforts to enhance healthcare through software and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Michalski brings over two decades of experience in healthcare and technology. He is currently the CEO of Ascertain, a company specializing in AI-driven healthcare solutions. Deerfield led Ascertain's Series A investment round and will house the company at its New York City headquarters.

Previously, Dr. Michalski held leadership roles at Amazon's healthcare and life sciences business units and was the Founding Executive Director of Mass General Brigham AI. His extensive background in AI applications in clinical medicine positions him well to drive Deerfield's mission of advancing healthcare through technology.
