Core AI Holdings and Optimus Tech Form OptiCore Datacenters for U.S. Research Universities
Core AI Holdings and Optimus Tech have announced the creation of OptiCore Datacenters, a joint venture to develop sovereign AI data centers near leading U.S. research institutions, according to a press release.
The initiative will focus on serving the 187 R1-designated universities across the United States, recognized for their high research activity and government partnerships. The facilities will provide secure, high-performance infrastructure to support AI and machine learning research, including work funded by agencies such as DARPA.
OptiCore Datacenters will be located on or near university campuses to meet stringent security and performance requirements. The infrastructure will enable research in predictive modeling, large language models, and specialized AI applications. Core AI Holdings stated that the joint venture also opens new market opportunities in the AI infrastructure sector.
Optimus Tech brings decades of experience in high-performance data center development, serving clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. The company said the partnership will deliver data center solutions designed specifically for the technical and compliance needs of major research universities.
