Convr Introduces Generative AI Assistant for Underwriters

March 19, 2026
Convr has launched a generative AI module integrated into its underwriting workbench, enabling underwriters to interact with submissions, uncover insights, and take actions directly within the platform.

Chicago-based Convr has introduced a generative AI assistant embedded within its underwriting workbench, announced in a press release. The conversational AI tool is designed to help underwriters analyze submission data, uncover insights, and complete related actions directly within the platform.

Built on the Convr Context Engine, which includes a commercial insurance ontology, knowledge graph, and semantic layer, the system enables interactive discussions about submissions and automates follow-up tasks. The AI reviews both submission and relevant public data, generates summaries with key observations, and can finalize submissions based on user prompts.

According to Convr, the assistant streamlines underwriting tasks such as retrieving submission details, summarizing risk data, and answering questions in real time. All AI interactions are recorded in the underwriting file, allowing users to review and refine their processes efficiently.
