Confluent has introduced new features in Confluent Cloud to enhance data security and processing for AI applications, as announced in a press release. The updates include snapshot queries for Apache Flink, which unify real-time and historical data processing, allowing AI agents and analytics to operate with comprehensive data context.

The snapshot queries feature enables the integration of batch and stream processing, facilitating smarter decision-making by providing AI systems with both past and present data. This capability is now available in early access, offering a seamless experience for analytics and agentic AI.

Additionally, Confluent has improved networking and security with the introduction of Confluent Cloud Network (CCN) routing and IP Filtering for Flink. These features aim to simplify private networking and enhance access control, ensuring secure data processing in hybrid environments. CCN routing is now available on Amazon Web Services in all Flink-supported regions, while IP Filtering is generally available for all Confluent Cloud users.
