Concirrus and Applied Aviation Win AI Implementation Award
Concirrus and Applied Aviation have been awarded AI Implementation of the Year at the US Insurance Awards 2025, announced in a press release. This accolade recognizes their collaborative efforts in transforming the underwriting process for aviation insurance.
Applied Aviation, a North American aviation insurer, partnered with Concirrus to modernize its traditionally manual underwriting process. Utilizing Concirrus' aviation-specific Large Language Model (LLM) platform, the company has significantly reduced the time required to analyze and quote aviation risks—from 36 hours to under 5 minutes per risk.
The integration of AI has not only streamlined workflows but also allowed underwriters to focus on strategic decision-making. This has led to improved consistency, regulatory compliance, and broker feedback, while enabling Applied Aviation to double its gross written premium without increasing headcount. The success of this implementation highlights the potential of AI to enhance efficiency and service in specialty insurance lines.
