Commvault Adds Recovery for Claude and OpenClaw Data

Commvault said in a press release that it will add discovery, protection and recovery for local data associated with Claude Cowork, Claude Code and OpenClaw on managed Windows and macOS devices.

IT teams will be able to identify supported AI tools installed on employee devices and protect agent configurations, generated content, prompt libraries, custom instructions and tool specific context. Security teams will receive a central view of supported tools, including installations outside approved IT processes.

Discovery for the ChatGPT desktop app is available now. Support for discovering, protecting and recovering Claude Cowork, Claude Code and OpenClaw data will become generally available in the coming months through Commvault's existing endpoint protection products, without a separate purchase. The features are part of AgentRecover.
