Colt DCS and RMZ Start Building 64 MW Mumbai Data Center
Colt Data Centre Services and RMZ announced in a press release that construction has started on Mumbai 3, a 64 MW data center at their Navi Mumbai campus. Ground preparation began in December 2025, and the companies signed the facility's first hyperscale customer before starting construction.
Mumbai 3 will support AI workloads and high density computing with air cooling and direct liquid to chip cooling. It will use a closed loop cooling system designed to produce near zero wastewater, operate entirely with renewable energy, and connect to a 220 kV substation on the campus.
The project is part of a $1.7 billion joint venture formed to develop 250 MW of data center capacity across Mumbai and Chennai. Mumbai 3 will raise the Navi Mumbai campus's operational capacity to 86 MW, while the full campus could reach 148 MW. The companies expect the project to create more than 700 construction and operations jobs.
