A new survey by Collibra and The Harris Poll shows that most technology decision-makers believe agentic AI will deliver strong returns, with 91% of organizations developing or rolling out such systems.

Collibra announced the results of a new survey conducted by The Harris Poll, revealing that 86% of technology decision-makers are confident that agentic AI will generate adequate returns on investment. The survey included more than 300 U.S. professionals involved in data management, privacy, and AI decision-making.

According to the findings, 91% of organizations are developing or rolling out agentic AI systems, though most remain in early stages. Three-quarters of respondents identified the IT and software sector as leading in successful implementation. Many organizations reported using third-party partnerships (58%) or mergers and acquisitions (44%) to advance their AI capabilities, while 49% are building solutions internally.

The survey also found that fewer than half of respondents have formal AI governance frameworks or employee training programs in place. However, 60% reported monitoring systems for bias and transparency, and 52% conduct regular AI risk assessments. Additionally, 83% expressed confidence that their unstructured data used for AI agents is governed and reliable.
