Cohere has secured an additional $100 million in funding, bringing its valuation to approximately $7 billion, announced in a company blog post. This funding is part of a second close to its latest round, which initially raised $500 million in August.

The new capital will be used to accelerate the development and global adoption of Cohere's security-first enterprise AI technology. The company is expanding its operations across North America, APAC, and EMEA to meet the growing demand for secure AI solutions in both public and private sectors.

Cohere's latest AI models, the Command A series, are designed for high-stakes business applications and offer multilingual support and efficient private deployments. The models integrate with Cohere's agentic AI platform, North, which is used by sectors such as finance, healthcare, and government.

The funding round includes new investors like Business Development Bank of Canada and Nexxus Capital Management, alongside existing participants such as AMD Ventures, NVIDIA, and Salesforce Ventures.
