Cohere Introduces Command A Translate for Secure Enterprise Translation

Cohere has introduced Command A Translate, a state-of-the-art model for secure, enterprise-ready machine translation. Announced on their website, this model is designed to deliver high-quality translations while ensuring data security through private deployment options. Command A Translate outperforms other models, including GPT-5 and DeepL Pro, by using a multi-step process called Deep Translation to refine translations.

The model supports 23 widely used business languages and is optimized for translating sensitive documents like contracts and financial reports. It achieved a best-in-class xCometXL score of 83.8 on the WMT24++ dataset, with further improvements possible through Deep Translation. This approach allows for iterative refinement, enhancing fluency and naturalness, which is crucial for high-stakes translations such as legal documents.

Command A Translate can be privately hosted, allowing enterprises to maintain control over their data while breaking down language barriers. It is available on the Cohere platform and for research use on Hugging Face, with options for fine-tuning and customization to meet specific enterprise needs.
