Coco Robotics and OpenAI have announced a research collaboration to advance AI and robotics, focusing on autonomous delivery systems.

Coco Robotics has announced a research collaboration with OpenAI aimed at advancing AI and robotics, announced in a press release. The partnership was revealed at the HumanX Summit in Las Vegas on March 12, 2025.

The collaboration will leverage insights from Coco's extensive experience in urban environments and OpenAI's widely used AI models. Coco Robotics, known for its zero-emission deliveries, will integrate OpenAI's latest models into its robotics stack to enhance tasks such as path planning, obstacle avoidance, and real-time decision-making.

Zach Rash, CEO of Coco Robotics, emphasized the potential of this partnership to bring autonomous, reliable, and affordable robotic delivery closer to reality. OpenAI's Caitlin Kalinowski expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting Coco's impressive track record in urban delivery solutions.

This initiative aims to develop scalable, intelligent robotics capable of safely navigating complex urban environments, furthering the integration of AI into the physical world.
