Cisco and G42 Partner to Build Secure AI Infrastructure in the UAE

Cisco will power, connect, and secure a large-scale AI cluster deployed by G42, featuring AMD’s MI350X GPUs, announced in a press release. The project integrates Cisco’s full-stack AI infrastructure, covering compute, networking, security, storage, and analytics tools to deliver scalable performance and unified management for advanced AI workloads in the UAE.

Cisco will serve as the technology integrator within G42’s Regulated Technology Environment (RTE), a compliance and security framework ensuring protection, transparency, and governance of advanced compute systems. The collaboration forms part of the US–UAE AI Acceleration Partnership, which includes major projects such as the 1GW Stargate UAE cluster in Abu Dhabi and a 5GW UAE–US AI technology campus.

The deployment will use Cisco UCS 885A servers with AMD MI350X GPUs, Nexus 9K 800G switches, Firepower 4200 firewalls, and Cisco’s Nexus Dashboard and Intersight tools for automation and management. It will also include Cisco’s latest optics and advanced services for design and implementation. The companies will coordinate with U.S. government agencies to obtain required licenses and approvals in the coming months.
