Christopher Stubbs Joins Anthropic's Long-Term Benefit Trust
Anthropic named Harvard physicist Christopher Stubbs to its Long-Term Benefit Trust, the company announced on its website. Stubbs is the trust's first physicist and previously served as Harvard University's Dean of Science from 2018 to 2024.
Stubbs helped discover the accelerating expansion of the universe as a member of the High-Z Supernova Search Team. He also belongs to JASON, an independent group of scientists that advises the US government on defense and technology.
The trust can appoint a majority of Anthropic's board and advises the board and company leaders on decisions involving AI risks and societal effects. Stubbs joins Neil Buddy Shah, Richard Fontaine and former Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke.

Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
