ChemT Biotechnology has raised $4 million in seed funding led by Wavemaker Ventures, with participation from SEEDS and other investors, to expand its AI and experimental infrastructure for biomanufacturing.

ChemT Biotechnology has raised 4 million dollars in a seed round led by Wavemaker Ventures, with participation from co-investment partner SEEDS, an arm of SG Growth Capital. The round also included investors such as Wavemaker 360 Health, Draper University Ventures, and Temasek Life Sciences Accelerator, announced in a press release.

The funding will support ChemT's expansion of its AI and experimental infrastructure aimed at improving the manufacturing and scalability of advanced medicines. The company is developing an intelligence layer within biomanufacturing processes to help organizations better understand cellular behavior during production.

At the center of ChemT's technology is CelMo, a Virtual Cell platform that uses AI to simulate how cells respond to manufacturing conditions, genetic modifications, and other stresses. Its flagship small molecule product, Chemplify, applies the same methodology to T-cell manufacturing, showing improvements in development speed, scalability, and cost efficiency. The new funding will advance CelMo's development and extend its use to additional cellular systems.
