Cetasol has raised €2.3 million in seed funding to enhance its AI-driven decision support platform, iHelm, aimed at improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions for small to mid-sized vessels.

Cetasol has raised €2.3 million in a seed funding round co-led by BackingMinds and Shift4Good, with continued support from Sarsia. The funding will be used to accelerate the global roll-out of Cetasol's flagship solution, iHelm, which provides AI-driven decision support for small to mid-sized vessels.

The iHelm platform is designed to enable 10–25% fuel savings, offering operators the ability to reduce costs, gain insights, and cut greenhouse gas emissions. This investment will help Cetasol expand its customer base worldwide and further develop its AI-driven digital twin technology to support more sustainable maritime operations.

Cetasol's CEO and Founder, Ethan Faghani, stated that the investment confirms the need and trust in their approach to AI-driven decision support and maritime sustainability. The company aims to make a significant impact on reducing CO₂ emissions, as small- and mid-sized vessels account for nearly 90% of the global fleet.
