September 24, 2025
CData Software has launched Connect AI, a platform providing AI applications with real-time, governed access to over 300 enterprise data sources, announced in a press release.

CData Software has launched Connect AI, a new platform designed to transform how AI applications access business data in real-time. Announced in a press release, Connect AI is the first managed Model Context Protocol (MCP) platform that integrates AI assistants, agent orchestration platforms, AI workflow automation, and embedded AI applications with more than 300 enterprise data sources.

Connect AI offers governed, in-place access to enterprise data, preserving data semantics and relationships to provide AI with a complete understanding of context. This platform inherits user permissions and authentication directly from the source, ensuring secure and compliant data access. It can be deployed in the cloud or embedded within software products with ease, using point-and-click configuration.

The platform builds on CData's existing MCP Servers, which have already enabled thousands of users to connect hundreds of data sources to AI assistants. Connect AI aims to address the challenges of data access and governance that have hindered the success of many AI pilots, providing immediate data access and meaningful data understanding for intelligent decision-making.

Enterprises can use Connect AI to obtain contextually-aware answers from business data in seconds, significantly reducing the time required for report building. The platform's ability to handle complex queries across diverse systems with semantic understanding is expected to enhance the efficiency of sales, marketing, and finance teams, among others.
