Carrefour has entered a strategic partnership with Vusion to digitalize all its hypermarkets and supermarkets in France by 2030, deploying AI-powered cameras, smart rails, and electronic shelf labels.

Carrefour and Vusion have announced a strategic partnership to digitalize all Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets in France by 2030, according to a press release. The initiative is part of Carrefour’s “Carrefour 2030” plan, aimed at modernizing its retail operations through technology and artificial intelligence.

The collaboration involves deploying Vusion’s next-generation platform, which includes electronic shelf labels, smart rails, and AI-powered cameras to enhance in-store operational efficiency and customer experience. Carrefour will also join Vusion’s International Advisory Board as part of the partnership.

The agreement follows Vusion’s large-scale rollout with Walmart in the United States and marks Carrefour as the first major European retailer to adopt the company’s latest retail digitalization technology at scale.
