Calnex Solutions Demonstrates 400G PFC-Transparent Network Emulation for AI Validation

Calnex Solutions announced in a press release that it has achieved 400G Ethernet network emulation at full line rate with 100 percent throughput while maintaining transparent Priority Flow Control (PFC) frame handling. This advancement allows engineers to test and optimize lossless Ethernet fabrics, such as long-haul data center interconnects, under controlled and repeatable conditions.

The new capability enables the introduction of congestion and delay in lab tests without intercepting control traffic, preserving the natural behavior of lossless Ethernet. This is particularly relevant for large-scale AI clusters, where network behavior significantly affects GPU utilization and job completion times.

By reproducing real-world network conditions in a lab environment, Calnex’s solution helps engineering teams validate how lossless Ethernet fabrics perform under production workloads. The company stated that this milestone strengthens its role in AI infrastructure validation, supporting customers across inference, AI-RAN, and data center networking.
