Bybit CEO Ben Zhou Highlights Tokenization and AI in Future Financial Systems at Goldman Sachs Event

Ben Zhou, Co-founder and CEO of Bybit, said that tokenization will accelerate the evolution of global financial systems into borderless, continuously operating networks. His remarks came during a fireside chat at the 2026 Goldman Sachs Asia Pacific FinTech Conference, announced in a press release.

Zhou described how the digital asset industry is expanding beyond trading into a broader financial infrastructure that integrates payments, collateral management, yield products, and tokenized real world assets. He said that compliance, licensing, and institutional trust are becoming the main competitive factors in the market.

Bybit’s long-term strategy focuses on developing infrastructure that supports both institutional and retail participation in tokenized financial markets. This includes expanding tokenized assets such as equities and commodities to enhance accessibility and capital mobility. Zhou also highlighted stablecoins as a growing component of cross-border payments and settlements.

He added that Bybit is investing in regulated custody frameworks, enhanced cold wallet and HSM security systems, and compliance monitoring to strengthen institutional trust. Zhou also noted the increasing connection between AI and blockchain technologies, predicting that AI agents will play a larger role in financial operations such as trading and liquidity management in the future.
