Basware to Acquire Trustpair for Payment Fraud Prevention

Basware has signed a binding agreement to acquire Trustpair, adding supplier account validation and payment fraud prevention to its invoice management platform. The transaction is expected to close later in 2026.

Basware has signed a binding agreement to acquire Trustpair, the companies announced in a press release. The transaction is expected to close later in 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Basware said the deal will add Trustpair's supplier account validation and payment fraud prevention tools to its Invoice Lifecycle Management platform. Trustpair validates that a bank account belongs to the intended supplier during onboarding, when account details change, and before payment is authorized.

After the deal closes, Trustpair will continue to operate and sell its products independently as a Basware company. The company works with finance systems including SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Zycus, Ivalua, Jaggaer, and Kyriba.

Basware said the acquisition will extend its invoice controls into payment validation. Trustpair will use data from Basware's network, which spans 2.5 billion invoices and 20 million suppliers, to support its validation models.
