Aon Launches $2.5 Billion Insurance Program for Gas Power Projects

Aon's Power Lifecycle Program covers gas power projects serving data centers and the grid from construction through initial operations.

Aon announced in a press release the Power Lifecycle Program, an insurance package for conventional gas power projects serving data centers and the wider power grid. The program covers projects from construction through testing, commissioning and initial operations.

It provides up to $2.5 billion in erection, construction delay, operational property damage and business interruption coverage. It also includes up to $100 million in construction and operational third party liability coverage outside the United States.

Optional risk assessments cover natural catastrophes, climate, cyber threats, casualty, supply chains and business interruption. The program is available to infrastructure developers and owners, private equity firms and construction contractors.
