Anthropic Expands Labs Team to Accelerate Claude Product Experiments
Anthropic has expanded its Labs division to incubate experimental products at the frontier of its AI model, Claude, according to an announcement on the company’s website. The Labs team will focus on developing and testing early-stage features before scaling them for enterprise and consumer use.
Mike Krieger, cofounder of Instagram and Anthropic’s Chief Product Officer for the past two years, is joining Labs to work alongside Ben Mann. Ami Vora, who joined Anthropic in late 2025, will take over leadership of the company’s product organization, working with CTO Rahul Patil to scale Claude’s offerings.
Anthropic said Labs builds on its approach of rapid experimentation, which has previously led to products such as Claude Code, the Model Context Protocol, and Cowork. The company described Labs as a dedicated space for exploring new capabilities and testing them with early users before wider release.
