Saturday Night Live parodied Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, in a Weekend Update segment, according to TechCrunch. Cast member Jane Wickline portrayed Amodei discussing warnings about the possible dangers of artificial intelligence.

Host Michael Che introduced the segment by describing Amodei as having stumbled through a press tour in which he appeared to agree with a former employee's claim that AI could destroy humanity. Wickline wore a wig and shifted between halting answers and exchanges with a darker alter ego.

The fictional Amodei said AI executives did not condone what they were doing and called AI a tool for building weapons. The sketch also joked about predictions that AI could help cure cancer within the next decade.
