AltaScient Expands AI Capabilities with Vertaeon Acquisition
AltaScient has announced its entry into the AI-powered risk data analytics sector through its acquisition of Vertaeon, a risk and sustainability SaaS platform provider. AltaScient, based in Atlanta, will leverage large-scale data, artificial intelligence, and large language models to enhance risk and sustainability insights across various industries, including semiconductors, metals and minerals, chemicals, and electric vehicle batteries.
Building on Vertaeon's existing product platform and cloud computing foundations, AltaScient aims to rapidly develop and deploy advanced AI models for market, financial, supply chain, and sustainability risks. The company is focused on providing dynamic data insights and mitigation actions for both large corporations and small to medium-sized enterprises.
AltaScient's CEO, Rekha Menon-Varma, emphasized the company's aggressive milestones, stating that products and revenue models are expected to be in place within six months of incorporation. This swift product deployment, including AI integration, positions AltaScient as an attractive option for customers, partners, and investors.
